How do I book?

The minimum booking for Mafeking Terrace is a week, which runs Friday to Friday. There are three stages to the booking process:

1. Request a Booking: Choose your week(s)
Weekly bookings of the cottage commence on Fridays at 3pm. You will need to check out by 10am on Friday morning when you leave. You can select any available dates – clicking all days between the first and last Friday you wish to book on the online calendar – and then completing the short form underneath to generate an email .

2. Provisional Booking: Reserve your dates
Once we have received your email, we will contact you to confirm availability for your preferred week(s) and send you a Booking Form. You need to print this out, complete it, post it to us and arrange a bank transfer to cover your 25% deposit. We’ll need to receive the form and confirmation of the bank transfer within 48 hours of your order being placed to reserve the cottage.

3. Confirmed Booking: Complete your booking
Your booking will need to be paid in full four weeks in advance of your arrival, or at the time of booking if there is less than four weeks to arrival. Once this is done we will contact you to arrange key collection, and give you detailed instructions of how to find the property.

Signing the Booking Form means you have accepted our Terms & Conditions.

How do I pay?

All payment needs to be made by bank transfer, if that is not possible please contact Eliza Solesbury on 07973826705 or email booking@mafekingterrace.co.uk to discuss alternatives. 25% of the hire total will need to be paid at the time of the reservation to confirm the booking, and the remaining 75% will be payable four weeks in advance of the stay.

Are there any extra charges?

No none.

We want to keep it simple, so do not ask for a security deposit but we trust that if any damages do occur, you will inform Eliza Solesbury on 07973826705 at the time and leave a sufficient amount of cash to cover the breakages.

See our Terms & Conditions for more information.

What if I need to cancel?

Please contact us as soon as you know that you need to cancel your booking. With reasonable notice we may be able to agree an alternative date for your booking or another solution to avoid the cancellation fees listed on the Prices page.

What are the arrival and departure times?

Arrival is 3pm onwards, and departure is by 10am. Our weekly bookings run from a Friday to a Friday.

How can we find out about local attractions and facilities?

There is a handbook, maps and some guide books in the cottage which will detail these and some other suggestions can be found on the Things to Do page and also here.
